1989 J-L & J-P Jamet Côte-Rôtie

Something a bit more serious, the ’89 J-L & J-P Jamet Côte-Rôtie has just gotten better and better each time I’ve had it. This was probably its best showing, a rich melange of meat, black fruits, and anise, with just enough animal to make life interesting. Constantly shifting flavors and aromas were the quintessence of complexity. Great structure, great finish, a great wine. Triple Curly.
