1990 Chapoutier Côte-Rôtie Brune et Blonde

What a bargain this was when released! It’s matured nicely, and these days shows lots of smoked pork and cooked berry aromas. Medium-weight on the palate, very sweet and resolved, this was a solid, mature Côte-Rôtie. This bottling is not the last word in complexity or length, but for $20 a throw, it would be churlish to complain. Larry Curly.
