1994 Gallet Côte-Rôtie

’94 was a sadly overlooked vintage. The best wines have a wonderful balance and transparency, very reminiscent of the ’81 Bordeaux. And like this one, they’re aging well. The Gallet is mostly sourced from the Lancement vineyard on Cote Blonde, and is an exemplar of that terroir. Animals, smoke, and raspberries, silky texture, just perfectly balanced all the way. At its perfect drinking point. Triple Curly.
