Very light color when poured, but darkened considerably after a few minutes in the decanter; it never really got that dark, though. The texture and aroma belied the light color and moderate (12%) alcohol- this was a mouth-filling beast! Fill in the usual adjectives about spices and fruits. The striking thing was the high acidity, which Loire-lovers will find familiar, but was unusual to find in a Rioja. I did not complain. Tannins totally resolved. The finish was longer than Ron Jeremy’s dick. Triple Curly, verging on a woo-woo-woo.
