1979 Guigal “La Mouline” Côte-Rôtie

Another star of this underrated vintage. It’s on the cusp as far as maturity; well-stored examples (mine came out of a cellar in Scotland) are still rich and fruit-packed. I’ve had a few bottles of more normal provenance that have shown more dried up and medicinal. When “on,” it’s a beautiful thing.
