1978 Berard “Cuvee Prestige” Chateauneuf du Pape
I’d hate to think what the non-prestige tastes like. Intense, overpowering aroma of kasha. Truly weird. I need to find out what micro-organism gives that smell.

WELL AFTER SAVING A BOTTLE VERY LOVINGLY SINCE 1978 WE OPENED IT ON OUT ANNIVERSARY IN mEXICO( IT SURVIVED THE FLIGHT PRESSURE AND BAGGAGE HANDLERS) AND OPENED IT VERY SLOWLY AS TO DAMAGE THE CORK, 33 YEARS OLD. POURED IT JUST AS SLOWLY AS OPENING IT WITH AN INCREDABLE FLIET MIGNON DINNER AND IT WAS THE BEST GLASS OF WINE I’VE EVER TASTED(AND WE LIVE IN CANADAS WINE BELT). AM NOW LOOKING FOR A 2000 CURVEE PRESTIGE OR GRADINE, SALUT.
